ACLS Training
While it’s never fun to think about the worst-case scenario with our patients, we understand that we need to be prepared for any situation. Our office staff recently completed advanced cardiac life support, or ACLS, training. This training would be used in the event of a medical situation and can be performed on a patient while waiting for medical professionals to arrive on the scene. The training ensures that our staff is qualified to perform ACLS to American Heart Association approved standards. Our staff is able to:
- Successfully manage a patient’s airway
- Successfully manage strokes and acute coronary syndromes
- Recognize and immediately manage cardiac and respiratory arrest
- Lead and support a resuscitation team
Benefits of ACLS Training
If one of our patients were to suffer a medical crisis while in our office, we want to have the knowledge to do everything in our power to potentially save a life. ACLS training provides crucial tools to understand what to do in a variety of situations. Our staff are excellent candidates for this training, as we are already experienced in patient care.
ACLS training taught our staff how to keep a patient’s neurological function intact during cardiovascular events, such as heart attacks, or cerebrovascular events, like strokes. If an emergency medical situation occurs, we can optimize resuscitation efforts while waiting for medical professionals to arrive, ultimately improving the likelihood of the patient’s survival.
