NuCalm -

Nucalm is an FDA-approved clinical system designed to help your mind and body relax naturally within just minutes. NuCalm uses neuroscience, biochemistry, physics and neurophysiology to rapidly and reliably relax the brain and body. It relaxes the alpha waves that are associated with the first phase of sleep and is akin to the relaxation and peacefulness found during deep meditation. It uses a 4 step process

  • Step 1: Topical Cream, a proprietary homeopathic crème that helps block adrenaline and is structured to create a natural relaxation response.
  • Step 2: Microcurrent Stimulation Patches, when placed behind the ear, these patches may tingle to help facilitate the relaxation response.
  • Step 3: Headphones, Noise-softening headphones play relaxing music to help bring your brain waves to pace with the pre-sleep stages.
  • Step 4: Eye Mask, Light blocking eye masks are a part of the NuCalm therapy system. These masks help avoid visual stimulation and maintain a relaxed state.

The combination of these four sensory calming steps creates a fully immersive experience. When the experience is over, your recovery is immediate, just like waking up after a sleep or meditation. You can safely drive home from your dental visit.

Oral Conscious Sedation -

Oral Conscious sedation is when we use a combination of oral medications to help you relax during a long dental procedure. People who have a lot of dental work to be done, severe gaggers or people who

are very fearful of dental work prefer this sedation method because it gives them peace of mind and helps them get healthier faster. You will be relaxed, comfortable, very sleepy and conscious so you can tell us if you need a bathroom break or another pillow etc., during the dental procedure. What most people like is that they have very little memory of the dental visit. We layer the medications to make the experience amazing and effective so we start the medicines the night before the visit and also an hour before the visit. You need to fast for 8 hours before the appointment, which is why we usually like a very early morning start. You will need to be driven to the appointment and have a guardian drive you home and watch over you until the next day and all of the effects of the medication have left your system. Many people like to consolidate their dental visits into fewer, longer sedation visits.

Laughing Gas (Nitrous Oxide) -

Nitrous Oxide helps slow down the brain processes to help manage pain and anxiety during a dental visit. The gas is colorless and odorless and is mixed with Oxygen and inhaled through a small mask that fits over your nose. It is a safe and effective mild sedative agent that when you breathe in and out through the mask in a normal rhythm, you should feel the relaxing effect of laughing gas within minutes. You may feel light-headed, tingly, or even a heaviness in your arms or legs. Ultimately you should be calm and comfortable through the procedure. After 5 minutes of pure oxygen at the end of the procedure, the effects of the Nitrous Oxide are completely reversed. You can safely drive home from your dental visit.

Combination of Nitrous Oxide and NuCalm -

When someone wants a deeper level of relaxation where you can rest more deeply and enjoy the additive benefits of both the laughing gas and NuCalm. You can safely drive yourself home from your dental visit.
