High-Tech Looks Into Your Mouth
We believe that one cornerstone of a modern, full-service practice is the tools used to diagnose patients’ oral needs. At Holsinger & Higgins we value technology for the role it plays in providing our practice with high-quality, accurate diagnostic tools. We have carefully chosen what we believe to be the best of the current state-of-the-art tools because of the high-value benefits they bring to us and our patients. Look at a few of the high-tech “gadgets” we use to bring you the best care in the most comfortable manner.
Digital Dental X-Rays
Far less time is needed to capture and render digital x-rays, meaning less chair time for you, and up to 90% less radiation exposure, as well. We use an intraoral camera that provides us with sharp 35mm images of cavities, fractures, and more so we can diagnose your needs quickly and accurately.
Carivu® Cavity Detection
We use Carivu®, a transillumination decay detection tool. Carivu® uses infrared to detect cavities, and it is radiation-free. We use it in combination with digital x-rays and intraoral photos to get even more accurate cavity information.
Green CT Scan
The VaTech Green CT Scan (3D Cone Beam) is another tool we use to capture the highest-quality pictures of your skull and everything in your mouth. It is an excellent diagnostic aid and can help us to identify problems while still in the early stages. Again, the Green CT Scan operates with far less radiation exposure.
T-Scan
When you have dental pain, you want it to be quickly diagnosed and treated. The T-Scan lets us identify the source of your pain fast. It can identify imbalances in your bite that lead to sensitive teeth and broken restorations. It’s fast, accurate, and means fewer appointments and reduced expense.
The First Step to Treatment Is Diagnosis
Dental technology has improved exponentially over the years. Using the latest equipment in our office, we can quickly and accurately identify any oral health issues you have and determine the proper treatment. With many years of experience behind us, we will plan and execute the ideal outcome for you. As a member of the Holsinger & Higgins dental family, you will be happy with the personal, caring attention you receive, and we think you will be delighted with the results of treatment.
